September 30 to October 7 is the Olympic Trials at the Police Athletic League Tournament in Oxnard, California.  Gary departed on Friday at 8am from Baltimore Washington International Airport back out west to make another statement.    U.S.A. Boxing is extremely pleased with Gary’s talent,” says Julie Goldsticker, director of public relations for U.S.A. Boxing.

Our Disabled brothers and sisters around the world apparently are better trained, more disciplined and are much farther ahead of their fellow American disabled athletes. This year the world will see the 2006 Para-Olympic Games. We are all worthy of sports news coverage.



Davis Does It His Way, and Makes History

The win by Shani Davis gives the U.S. men their third consecutive gold medal in the individual events at the Olympic oval. (Max Rossi - Reuters)
 
Davis became the first black athlete to capture a Winter Games gold medal in an individual sport. His victory came four years after Vonetta Flowers, the bobsledder from Alabama, made history at the 2002 Salt Lake Games as the first black athlete to win gold.
