Heisman StatueCONNECTICUT -- Here's a brief look at my top five Heisman Trophy award candidates entering this weekend's action.

1. QB Dennis Dixon, Oregon: He helped the Ducks knock off USC with a 16-of-25 day.

2. QB Andre Woodson, Kentucky: He was 24-of-42 against Mississippi State for 230 yards and two touchdowns.

3. QB Tim Tebow, Florida: He was only 14-of-22 in a loss to Georgia but is still one of the favorites.

4. QB Matt Ryan, Boston College: He had an unbelievable game against Virginia Tech completing 25-of-52 passes for 285 yards and the winning touchdown with virtually no time left.

5. RB Michael Hart, Michigan: He did not play against Minnesota due to an injury, but is the best rusher in the country at this point in time.
