NORTH CAROLINA (BASN) -- For all you barber shop ballers, Monday morning quarterbacks, sideline superstars, half-time hecklers, undrafted college athletes, and want to be pros, there is a show on Spike TV hosted by Jay Glazer and Michael Strahan made especially for you.

It's called Pros vs. Joes.

It's a trash-talking, testosterone-filled test of toughness and talent. The premise of the show is a simple one. It takes regular people, who are called "Joes" and have them compete against former professional athletes called "Pros".

If the "Joes" defeated the "Pros", they are rewarded "$10,000 and a life-time of bragging rights." The contestants do not have to answer any difficult questions, spin any wheels, or press any buzzers.

All they have to do is display their athletic prowess and show the world why they should be playing in the league. Some notable athletes that have made guest appearances on the show include: Derrick Brooks, Jeff Garcia, Warrick Dunn, Chris Mullin, and Brent Barry.

Despite such great competition, the so-called Joes have proven they can compete and can actually win against the pros.

In fact, the first assembly of "Joes" to beat the "Pros" in the history of the show in a football challenge occurred when Chase Weber (Personal Trainer), Eric Hooks (Service Technician), and Dorrell Jullon (Youth Counselor) defeated Lavar Arrington (Redskins), Isaac Bruce (Rams) and Michael Vick (Eagles) in a three-on-three football challenge.

With the "Joes' upset victory over Arrington, Bruce, and Vick, it proved that on any given show, these former professional athletes could lose and shouldn't take their somewhat inferior opponents too lightly.

Another memorable moment of Pro vs. Joes, occurred when the show's producers brought Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens back together again in a basketball showdown which pitted McNabb, Owens along with Antonio Gates against NBA superstars Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon, Kenny Smith, and Rick Fox.

To the audience's surprise, however, the football all-stars upset the former NBA all-stars in a three-on-three pickup game in overtime by the score of 28-23.

Therefore, if you think you have what it takes to compete on the next level, stop complaining, and yelling at the television.

With that said, sign-up, lace-up, and get up off the couch and become the next contestants on Pros vs. Joes.
