NFF Names College Grid HOF Class of 2008

This year's class will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame during the Enshrinement Festival, July 18-19, in South Bend, Ind. The six-member class includes black college coaching greats W.C. Gorden (Jackson State 1976-91) and Doug Porter Mississippi Valley State 1961-65, Howard 1974-78, and Fort Valley State (Ga.) 1979-85, 1987-96.

UMES Takes NCAA Women's Bowling Crown

The title is the first NCAA National Championship in school history and the second overall since the Men's Outdoor Track & Field Team won an NAIA title in 1963. It is the first women's title ever at the DI level by a historically black college or university and the first time a woman coach has won a bowling championship.
