Under-16 Boys' Shane Simmons pulled off an impressive second place finish in his first round repercharge heat which was enough to take him through to the next round.
He scored 9.33 points from his best two waves and eliminated Facundo Arrayes of Argentina and Jaime Pazmino of Ecuador in the process. Under-18 Girls' Elim Beckford is still in with a chance also as she advanced to the second round with a second place showing in the first repercharge round..
Under-18 Boys' Ackeam Phillips, Jason Pusey and Under-16 boys' Lloyd Jacks all finished third in their first round repercharge heats, and Under-18 Boys' Eneson Lightbourn finished 4th in his first round repercharge heat and have all been eliminated from the Championships.
